Hawks teams follow the mission of the Pleasant Hill Baseball Association, an organization that believes that all the players should have ample opportunity to play, improve and have a supportive but still competitive platform to become a better baseball pl
Because of strong parent participation, the Pleasant Hill Hawks is one of the most affordable “travel ball” teams in the area. Hawks parents do not pay for coaching because the managers and coaches donate their time.
Parents are expected to volunteer their time for the team and the greater PHBA league. Hawks parents generally volunteer much more than the four hours mandated by PHBA for responsibilities that include snack shack sales, field prep and cleanup, and scorekeeping.
Each Hawks family must fulfill 4 hours of volunteer time to the PHBA league, which can include working a shift for:
Field Maintenance Day for Sequoia Fields or PHBA Fields
The PHBA Snack Shack
PHBA Opening Day ceremonies
Photo Fiesta Day
In addition to the PHBA league volunteering requirements, other volunteer needs must be met for each Hawks team to have a successful season. Each team will be required to fill the following volunteer positions:
